Our club started in 1970, it began by running miniature steam trains on a portable track which the members took to school fetes and village fairs

 

Then we were able to establish a permanent track which was built at Pevensey. Here they remained until 1984 when it became necessary to find a new site. And the opportunity arose to come to Polegate.

Two years’ of hard work by the members brought the current track into use, and the trains have been running on a regular basis ever since.
