Polegate and District Model Engineering Club

Welcome to the PADMEC Miniature Railway at Polegate Oaks.

We’re a small group of volunteers who simply love running trains and sharing them with the community. Our railway runs on donations rather than fixed ticket prices, because we believe everyone should be able to enjoy a ride.

Some railways have had to increase their ride prices in recent years. We’ve chosen a slightly different track. If you enjoy the ride and can spare a donation, it helps keep the trains running for the next family waiting at the platform.

We may not be the biggest club around, but what we lack in grand facilities we make up for in friendly faces, enthusiasm, and a warm welcome for everyone.

Running a miniature railway still comes with real costs though. Track, locomotives, maintenance and safety equipment all need looking after. That’s why we fundraise throughout the year to keep this little railway steaming along.
