Our club is a small group affiliated to the PCA, meeting once a month at the Polegate Community centre.

Started in 1970, it began by running miniature steam trains on a portable track which the members took to school fetes and village fairs etc. and this continued until they were able to establish a permanent track which was built at Pevensey. Here they remained until 1984 when it became necessary to find a new site. And the opportunity arose to come to Polegate.

Two years’ hard work by the members brought the current track into use, and apart from a brief upset when it was necessary to dismantle part of the track to allow drains from a housing estate to be put in, the trains have been running on a regular basis ever since.
